Rev. T. EberhardtRector - The Rev. Timothy Eberhardt
After graduation from Bowdoin College in 1968 and after three years of prep school teaching, the Rev. Timothy Eberhardt "found himself" by getting married and enrolling at Bangor Theological Seminary where he received his M.Div. in 1977 (with a special year at General Theological Seminary in New York, "Where I learned how to cross myself."). Ever being found, he began his priesthood at St. Barnabas' Episcopal Church in Rumford, Maine where after three and a half years he got the call to look at several parishes in Vermont.

With St. John's and Randolph "it was love at first sight," a love which since 1981 has burned bright. ("My grandchildren now show up here older now than their mother when she first started Sunday School as a three year old, twenty-six years ago.") The Rector lives with his spouse Mary Ellen Bean in the Rectory on Prospect Ave. ("one of the prettiest streets in the U.S.") When not engaged in his pastoral duties at St. John's or in the Diocese, he can be found volunteering in the community, riding his bike or serving as umpire for a Little League game. "Life is a sacramental cadence of grace and discovery; new every morning."

Vestry - Steven Eubanks, Sr. Warden; Ray Mayer, Jr. Warden; Ellen Baker; Linda Nagy; Susan O'Malley; Nancy Wright; Pat Mayer, Clerk
The vestry is the legal representative of the parish with regard to all matters pertaining to its corporate property. St. John's vestry is comprised of the rector serving as presiding officer, six members elected by the parish at its annual meetings and a clerk. There are two wardens. The senior warden leads the parish between rectors and is a support person for the rector. The junior warden has responsibility for church property and buildings. The basic responsibilities of the vestry are to help define and articulate the mission of the congregation; to support the church's mission by word and deed, to select the rector, to ensure effective organization and planning, and to manage resources and finances. P. S. We do laugh occasionally at vestry meetings.

Music Staff - Shirley Baumann, Organist; Jane Eubanks, Choir Director
Shirley BaumannShirley has been playing the organ at St. John's for over 28 years, and is on the Executive Committee of the Vermont chapter of the AGO. Shirley started on organ many years ago in Plainfield, Vermont later studying with Phillip Stimmel and Ernie Drown. Over the years she's played in many churches for a variety of occasions. When not otherwise engaged tempting angel choirs on the Austin, she's been known to dabble in both golf and skiing in the appropriate season.

Jane EubanksJane has been leading the choir for the past 3 years. A director of wide musical taste and nearly infinite patience; Jane has led choirs of various ages for over 20 years. When not directing, Jane is still not-so-diligently trying to retire from teaching piano, flute and music theory which she's done for over 30 years, and often lapses into playing in small ensembles and organizing choral workshops whenever the opportunity arises.

Treasurers - Bill Arnold, Treasurer; Jane Eubanks, Receipt Treasurer
Bill has the dubious honor of trying to "make ends meet", ensuring that our little part of God's Kingdom on Earth at least breaks even at the end of the month; a task which he performs with great care and diligence and not a little sweat. We can't thank him enough.

Jane oversees the pledges, offerings and gifts received by the parish and generates quarterly statements to remind us of just how thankful we've managed to be through the course of the year.
